How do I use the Snap and Store feature for Quicken mobile?

Learn how to snap a picture of your receipt with your phone or tablet - and easily keep track of your most important purchases in Quicken 2014.

For iOS

Snap your receipt first

  1. On the main screen, tap the camera icon.
  2. Snap a picture of your receipt.
  3. If your satisfied with the image, tap Use.  Otherwise, tap Retake.
  4. Choose a payee.
  5. Choose a Transaction Type and Payment Type.
  6. Tap the dollar amount of the transaction.
  7. Tap Next.
  8. Verify transaction type, date, category, and add a memo if you'd like.  
  9. When you're ready, tap Done.

...or add your receipt to an existing transaction

  1. Find your existing transaction from the main screen either by Account or Earned or Spent.  You can drill-down by category or payee if you select Earned or Spent.
  2. Once you find your transaction, tap the camera icon.
  3. You can either snap a new picture of your receipt or choose a previously-snapped pic in your camera roll.
  4. Close your transaction when you're done.  The attachment is automatically saved.  

Quicken will automatically attach the receipt to the transaction in your Register the next time you sync your desktop.

For Android

Add your receipt to your transaction

  1. Find your existing transaction from the main screen either by Account or Earned or Spent.  You can drill-down by category or payee if you select Earned or Spent.
  2. Once you find your transaction, tap the camera icon.
  3. You can either snap a new picture of your receipt or choose a previously-snapped pic saved on your device.
  4. Close your transaction when you're done.  The attachment is automatically saved.

Quicken will automatically attach the receipt to the transaction in your Register the next time you sync your desktop.
