Setting up or performing Mobile Sync in Quicken 2013 may report the following message:
"Quicken encountered a server-side error while syncing your data. Try again later. If the error persists, contact Quicken Support."
We have found several conditions that can cause this error to occur at various steps in the Quicken Cloud/Mobile Sync process. Start by selecting the part of the process that applies to your situation, to see if there's a possible solution and to provide data necessary to determine the problem.
Data required to research cause and create solution:
We have found a correlation between the general server-side error that is presented during Mobile Sync with an established Quicken Cloud file and a Time Out error that is being presented during a standard One Step Update of accounts.
To determine if your error falls into this category:
If you find one of these time-out errors, follow quicken.intuit.com/support/help/GEN83194.html to Reset Internet Explorer settings to Default, then try your mobile sync once again.
If the server-side error persists after following those instructions, and the error has not changed to HTTP 500, follow the Data Required steps (above) then click here to upload the prepared files and provide your contact information.
The cause of this error is still under investigation. Please follow the Data Required steps (above), with the exception of the SyncLogs most likely not available.

These server errors will be resolved by a server patch, not by a product maintenance release. When those patches are implemented, we'll be sending out Resolved email notifications; there will be no in-product messaging when a server is patched.
