Online Banking

• Updated: Bank of America is upgrading the bank systems used to serve customers with accounts opened in California. The Bank of America Upgrade Assistant updates California account settings in Quicken to interface with the upgraded bank systems.
• Fixed: Resolved an issue where choosing a financial institution name from the selector list caused Quicken to crash.
• Fixed: Quicken now prompts you to update your password when you receive error CC-503 - Invalid Password.
• Fixed: Resolved a crash during investment account setup that occurred when a duplicate account description was received from the investment institution.
• Fixed: Fixed a bug where Quicken didn't handle military dates correctly and improperly displayed error OL-221.

Taxes

• Updated: Updated the Quicken 2012 tax data to reflect current rates and rules provided by the IRS.

Planning

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where budget showed negative amounts when editing a budgeted amount for a category with specific monthly amounts.

Online Banking

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where check numbers were not appearing in the NUM field when downloading transactions and balances using Express Web Connect.
• FIXED. We resolved a crash that occurred when using One Step Update.
• FIXED. We resolved a defect where Quicken would not resolve an invalid password for a financial institution that uses Express Web Connect. The problem occurred when using the "Enter Password in Quicken" option from the One Step Update Summary.

Register

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Auto-Reconcile would not activate when downloading transactions using the "Automatically add to banking registers" preference.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the category drop-down list appeared when the "Automatically open drop-down lists in QuickFill fields" preference was disabled.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the Reconcile window was incorrectly displayed when Auto Reconcile was enabled.

Planning

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where budget subcategories didn't total correctly if they were nested under another subcategory.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where subcategories were omitted from a budget if customization was done during the Automatic Budget creation process.
• FIXED. We resolved a defect where the flyover text for a budget category indicated that you were under-budget when you were actually over-budget if that category had subcategories.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the pop-up spending graph didn't draw correctly.
• FIXED. We addressed a limitation that prevented budget amounts from appearing for categories that had tax line items associated with them (e.g. Taxes:Federal)..
• FIXED. We addressed a defect where the category mini-report in a budget did not include savings account transactions.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue that caused a budget to lose any changes you made if the start of the fiscal year was assigned to any month but January.

Investing

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken incorrectly mapped an expired option to a Sold transaction when it should have mapped it to a Cover Short transaction
• IMPROVED. We updated the data in the Asset Allocation tool.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the "Totals" line didn't show a value for "Day Change" and "Day Change %".
• FIXED. We addressed an issue where transaction list columns were not sizing correctly when creating a new account.
• FIXED. We resolved a defect where editing a Volume amount in the Portfolio View caused an incorrect value to be stored
• FIXED. We addressed an issue where account balances were not updating correctly on the Account Bar and Account Details snapshot
• FIXED. Quicken now prints the Totals line when printing from the Portfolio View

Reports

• FIXED. We addressed an issue where report and graph match characters (wild cards) were not working correctly. Please search Quicken Help for "match characters" to learn more about filtering reports and graphs using match characters
• FIXED. We restored the option in the Reports toolbar to change the sort order for report columns.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the Year drop-down filter was not appearing on the Reports toolbar.
• FIXED. We resolved a sorting issue in the "Sort by" drop-down list.

Bill Management

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the CTRL+P keyboard shortcut didn't print the Bill and Income Reminders list
• FIXED. We fixed a Calendar issue that caused edited instances of recurring reminders to not print correctly
• FIXED. We addressed an issue where the sort order in the Bill and Income Reminders list was not maintained between sessions.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where a high number of reminders using the "estimated amount" option caused transaction entry to slow down.
• FIXED. We addressed an issue where Quicken didn't maintain split information when converting a register transaction into a reminder.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the net pay total for a paycheck didn't appear in the Bill and Income Reminders list after editing the paycheck.

Home Page

• IMPROVED. We added the option to view individual credit card transactions as spending in the In/Out/What's left snapshot. To do so, choose Options menu > Spending in the snapshot.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the size was not retained if you docked or minimized the Account Bar.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the Net Worth snapshot did not retain changes between sessions.

Taxes

• IMPROVED. We updated Quicken so it can now read TurboTax 2011 data files.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken had the wrong personal exemption deduction amount. It is now set correctly to $3700 for 2011.

Printing

• FIXED. We addressed an issue where you couldn't print a check with a $0 amount

Online Banking

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken didn't attempt to download data after receiving an error code. Quicken now attempts an update every time.
• FIXED. We resolved a problem where Quicken took a long time to download information from your financial institution when it was setup with Express Web Connect.
• FIXED. We fixed an issue where Quicken would incorrectly report an invalid password or login when adding an account.
• FIXED. Resolved an issue where Quicken could not process the Express Web Connect response and reported an OL-220 error.
• FIXED. We fixed an issue where Quicken didn't update the list of financial institutions for some customers.

Planning

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken didn't maintain the previously selected categories when making changes to your budget using the Advanced Budget.

Bill Management

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken showed a date of "0" for the day of the month in the reminder dialog.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken didn't start do to a Scheduled Reminder with "0" day in the date and the Scheduled Reminder was set to auto-enter.

Register

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken altered the reconcile state of a transaction in the account that received a transfer through a split transaction.

Online Banking

• NEW. One Step Update now allows you to download immediately without confirming your selections in the One Step Update Settings window. The immediate download occurs only if you are using the Password Vault to store your passwords and you are not sending online payments.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue in account setup where Quicken couldn't identify the type of account it had discovered at a financial institution. Quicken now notifies you of this situation and suggests that you try again while adding accounts of known types.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue that prevented One Step Update from completing because of your Internet Explorer cookie settings.

Investing

• FIXED. We resolved a screen refresh issue that occurred in Portfolio View when sorting transactions.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken incorrectly created a Sold transaction in Compare to List for an option close when the position was short. Quicken now uses the correct Cover Short action.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken would not set focus to the next transaction in the Compare to List window.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where closed lots would not show the closed short positions in Portfolio View.

Planning

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken did not correctly remember the expanded or collapsed state of your budget items between sessions.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where flyover test didn't appear in the Budget window.
• NEW. We added Category Group total to the Advanced Budget window.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the Everything Else line in the Budget window was not updating calculations when viewing multiple months.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where budget category pop-up didn't filter transaction for the time range selected.

Reports

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the Tax Summary report showed the Num field as cash and the Description filed as 0.00 instead of the payee name.

Bill Management

• IMPROVED. We enhanced the Scheduled Transaction Group user interface.
• NEW. We added the ability to enter negative amounts during Paycheck setup.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the sort order on the Bills tab was not retained.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where paychecks were not updating correctly when 401(k) or flex spending contribution amounts were changed.

Register

• NEW. We added the ability to change the size of the Compare to Register window in spending account registers. To do so, just drag the window border.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the sort order of the Num field in the Compare to Register window was incorrect.
• NEW. We added the ability to identify the renaming rule associated with a memorized payee. To do so, choose Tools menu > Memorized Payee List, then select a payee and click Edit > Edit Renaming Rule.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the link to the transfer account transaction was broken when matching a downloaded transaction to a manually entered transaction.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken didn't update the Spending tab correctly after downloading transactions.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where you had to click the Clear Split Lines button twice to get it to clear the lines in a split transaction.

Rental Property

• NEW. We added the ability to print a copy of the Rent Received form content (aka Rent Received receipt).

Online Banking

• IMPROVED. We enhanced the status flags in the One Step Update Summary window. A yellow flag now appears next to the name of a financial institution that contains at least one account that updated successfully, and at least one account that did not update successfully.
• IMPROVED. The Online Center now opens to the financial institution of the currently displayed register.
• IMPROVED. Quicken now changes input focus to the first password field in the One Step Update window when the Password Vault is not used.

Investing

• NEW. We added the ability to get to the Security Detail View from the Investment Transaction List. To do so, click the investing chart icon next to the Security Name drop-down.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where attachments were not being saved when added to investment transactions.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the Dividend Date column did not sort correctly in Portfolio View.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where hidden accounts appeared on the Investing tab > Portfolio Performance snapshot.

Planning

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the Advanced Budget window did not fit on the screen if large fonts were enabled.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the historical view in a budget incorrectly included reminders.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the category pop-up included transactions that were not from the time range being viewed.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where a budget line did not remain in focus after changing a budget amount in the Edit dialog.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue in the Lifetime Planner > Change Assumptions window where the Edit link did not appear without having to scroll.

Reports

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where payee name changes made using the Edit Transaction feature on a Transaction report were being saved in the Memorized Payee List. Edit Transaction is found by clicking the Edit button on the Transaction report.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken didn't show the tax consequences of IRA contributions or withdrawals when the money was transferred to or from an investment account.
• IMPROVED. We enhanced Quicken reports to pre-fill the report name when printing the report to a PDF document.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the category hierarchy was lost when copying a report to the clipboard or exporting a report to an Excel file.

Bill Management

• NEW. Quicken now asks for confirmation if you try to delete an account that is part of a transfer reminder.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the first character of a deleted payee appeared on the second screen of the bill reminder dialog.

Business Invoices

• NEW. We added the ability to print Customer or Vendor Invoices to the Account Actions menu in the Invoice register.

Register

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where Quicken deleted the Transaction Note when editing the destination account of a transfer transaction.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the Ctrl+D key combination would not delete an un-saved transaction in the register.
• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the register font size looked incorrect if large fonts were enabled.

Property and Debt

• FIXED. We resolved an issue where the Quicken loan feature created reminders with no end date for the payment for your loan.
