You may receive a message that your computer cannot verify your printer in Quicken.
This error may occur if you have an excessive number of printers installed on your computer or Quicken has incorrect information about your printer. The following information shows you how to correct this error. This error can also occur of you are running Quicken as Administrator.
If you are running Quicken as administrator, close Quicken, run Quicken normally, then attempt to print again. If you don't know whether or not you are running Quicken as administrator, you probably aren't, but restart Quicken and attempt to print again anyway.
Before performing the steps below, make sure you have the latest release before trying the steps listed below.
If you still cannot print, Quicken may have incorrect information about your printer. We'll need to find a file on your computer called wpr.dat and rename it. When it is renamed, Quicken cannot find the file and recreates a new one, pulling in information on your active printer.
Note: The wpr.dat file contains your printer setup information for Quicken. If you have customized fonts or other printing options you will need to configure Quicken again.
