Learn how to install or uninstall Quicken for Windows.
If you already have Quicken installed and would like to install a newer version, you do not have to uninstall the previous version first.
More and more computer are being sold without CD/DVD drives. If you have a computer without a CD drive and if you purchased Quicken on CD or have an old copy of Quicken on CD you'd like to install, unfortunately there is no magical process that will let us extract the files from the CD without a CD drive. However, if you have access to a CD drive on another computer, you can save the content of the CD to a flash/thumb/USB drive, then install Quicken from that USB drive.
First, go to a computer with a CD drive (don't forget to take your Quicken CD and your USB drive with you!).
Now, go back to your computer -- the one you want to install Quicken on. Bring the USB drive with you from the other computer. You won't need the Quicken CD any longer.
If you purchased Quicken as a download from Quicken online, you can download the Quicken installation on the My Downloads site. Downloads that were purchased directly from the Intuit web site are available for up to 3 years from the date of purchase. Be sure to login using your User ID and password.
The name of the Quicken file you download from Quicken.com will represent the Quicken version and year.
When you ordered Quicken from Quicken.com, it was required to provide your email address and create a username and password to access your download. If you're like most people, you didn't write down your username or password or you misplaced it, but you remember your email address. If that's the case, go to My Downloads and then click on the Forgot my Login (or if you know your username but forgot your password, select Forgot my password).
Note: If you are installing Quicken, you do not have to uninstall your old version first -- we'll do that for you.
When you uninstall Quicken, your data file will remain on the system in its current location. However, as a precaution, back up your data file to a safe place before you uninstall Quicken.
Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and Vista

Read this: I can provide a list of common errors while installing. If you don't find the error you're receiving here -- don't panic! -- I'd suggest searching for it instead. For example, you'll see the first error in the list below starts with "Error 1303..." You'll search for "Error 1303" up in the search field (at the top of this page).
