If the CD doesn't start the installation automatically
If your CD drive works, but you are having trouble installing Quicken, copy the installation file to your computer first. These are also the same steps if you're copying the contents an older Quicken CD to a thumb drive.

Downloads that were purchased directly from the Intuit web site are available for up to 3 years from the date of purchase. Be sure to login using your User ID and password. Install Quicken From Your Computer's Hard Drive
Similar to installing Quicken from an online download, this method involves copying Quicken to your hard drive from your CD first. and then installing it in order to side-step issues that can occur during installation directly from your CD.
When you uninstall Quicken, your data file will remain on the system in its current location. However, as a precaution, back up your data file to a safe place before you uninstall Quicken.
