Error 1622 When Installing Quicken

Error code 1622 can occur during installation when the folder where Quicken stores the installation log files does not have read/write permissions.

  1. Right-click the Microsoft® Windows® Start button and select Explore.
  2. Locate the Quicken installation folder. The default location is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\Quicken.
  3. Right-click the Quicken folder and select Properties.
  4. Clear the Read-only checkbox and click OK.
  5. In the confirmation dialog, select the Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files option, and then click OK.
  6. In the Quicken folder, right-click the Log folder and select Delete.
  7. Try installing Quicken again. The easiest way is to reinsert the Quicken CD in to the CD-ROM drive and follow the on-screen instructions. If that does not work, copy the Quicken installation files from the installation CD to the hard drive and try the installation again.
