Incorrect Account Balances after converting to Quicken Essentials from Quicken Mac 2007

Issue:

You may find that your account balances are incorrect after converting from Quicken Mac 2007 (or earlier) to Quicken Essentials.  

Tip: To determine which version of Quicken your are using, open Quicken and click on the Quicken menu, then select About Quicken to open the about Quicken Essentials dialogue window:

QEM_About_Menu

Version should read "Version 1.6.1f6707"

Note: If you are not using the latest release of Quicken Essentials, please go to the Quicken menu again, and choose Check for updates...  After updating to the latest release, you should attempt the conversion again.

Additional Information:

If you still find the balances are incorrect after reconverting, check to see if the incorrect balances is due to overdue scheduled transactions not yet processed in Quicken 2007.
