Error 1600-series Error When Installing Quicken for Windows

When attempting to install Quicken for Windows, you may receive an error beginning with 16xx or similar.

Instructions

These errors are typically do to Windows user permissions.

Possible solutions include:

  • Installing Quicken in Selective Startup Mode
  • Installing Quicken when logged into Windows as a new Admin user
  • Contact Microsoft support for resolution of possible Windows user account damage.
