Deleting or Resetting the Password Vault

Updated: 5/03/2012 | Article ID: GEN82151

To reset the Password Vault, the existing Password Vault must be deleted, and then set up again. You may want to note or print the Passwords in the existing Password Vault before proceeding.

To delete the Password Vault:

  1. From the Quicken Tools menu, choose Password Vault, and then choose Delete Vault and Saved Passwords.
  2. Click Yes in the message window.

Resetting the Password Vault removes all stored Passwords, erases your Password Vault password, and requires manual entry of passwords. If you would like to use the Password Vault again, you will need to setup the Password Vault again.

Note: Resetting the Password Vault does not change your password information with your financial institution.
