How To Update a Currency Exchange Rate

At this time, it is not possible to download currency rates into Quicken. However, you can manually update a currency rate:

1. If you haven't already done so, set up Quicken to use multiple currencies in your preferences.
   • Click on Edit on the top menu bar, then select Preferences, then Quicken Preferences (Program in earlier versions). Choose Calendar and Currency on the left. Then ensure the check is selected next to Multicurrency support.
2. From the Quicken Tools menu, choose Currency List.
3. Right-click the desired currency and choose Edit.
4. In the Edit Currency window, update the exchange rate by either:
   (Quicken will adjust the rate in the other field based upon the rate you entered)
   • Entering the foreign currency units equal to one unit of your home currency in the second to last field (for example, Euro per $), or
   • Entering the home currency units equal to one unit of the foreign currency in the last field (for example, $ per Euro).
5. Click OK.
