How To Set One Step Update Options For Quotes

1. Click New Security.
2. Enter information about the security in each field.
3. Make sure Show in Watch List is selected. Now the security will be added to your Watch List.
4. Click Other Info to enter more detailed information about the security. (Optional)
5. Click OK.

For an explanation of what you need to do in the Set Up Security dialog, click the Help icon.
Click the Look Up button if you don't know the security's ticker symbol. Quicken uses ticker symbols to retrieve prices; you won't be able to download a price without it.

1. On the Quicken toolbar, click the Update button.
2. Click Select quotes.
3. Click the Quotes tab if you are not already there.
4. Clear the check mark in front of the security name to remove it from the list of securities that Quicken will update.

If you later decide to retrieve the price for this security, follow these steps again. When you select the security name, it's marked once again for inclusion in your update.

1. Select the security with the missing symbol.
2. Click Look Up Symbol.
3. Quicken connects to the Internet (if you're not already connected) and locates the page that has the ticker symbol lookup tool, located on the Quicken.com Web site.
4. Copy and paste the ticker symbol.
   • How do I cut and paste the ticker symbol?
     • Select the ticker symbol.
     • Press CTRL+C to copy the symbol.
     • Go back to Quicken.
     • Press CTRL+V to paste the ticker symbol in the symbol field.
