Updated: 5/22/2012 | Article ID: GEN82872

Overview

You might receive one of the following messages when downloading in Quicken Essentials:

  • Error 106
  • Error 324
  • Error 168
  • Error 999

Cause

This error can occur if you changed the account name at your bank's website or if your bank switched to a new account for you (such as for lost or stolen accounts).

  1. Select the account that had the error you reported.
  2. Click the Settings button in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Click the Assist Me button next to the checkbox: I want to download transactions.
  4. Find your bank in the list, and click Continue.
  5. Type the sign-in information for your bank, and click Continue.
  6. In the list of accounts that appears, find the one that you want to download from. Click on the gear icon in the right side, and select Link to the existing account name. Then click Continue.

The transactions from your old and new bank accounts are now shown together in the same account in Quicken.
