Quicken 2009: "An patching engine error has occurred"

I you are attempting to update Quicken 2009 to the latest release and receive "An Patching Engine Error has occurred", your Quicken installation may be damaged due to mismatched or invalid files in your Quicken installation folder.  Please click here to download and install a replacement patch that will repair your installation files, and update your product to Release R7 at the same time.
