Using an intermediate version to convert older versions of Quicken

Intermediate versions of Quicken serve as translators in the upgrade process.

Quicken for DOS
To convert from a version of Quicken for DOS to a current version of Quicken or QuickBooks for Windows, use Quicken 8 for DOS.

Quicken for Macintosh®
If you are converting from a version of Quicken for Macintosh or Quicken for DOS to QuickBooks 4 for Macintosh, use Quicken 6 for Macintosh.

Quicken for Microsoft® Windows®

To convert from Quicken 1 through 5 to a more recent version of Quicken or QuickBooks for Windows, use Quicken 6 for Windows.

To convert from Quicken 4 or earlier to QuickBooks for Windows, use Quicken 98 for Windows.
