If you purchased an unlock code to upgrade Quicken (for example, to upgrade Quicken Deluxe 2009 to the 2009 Premier version), you can reinstall that same upgrade and unlock it again free of charge. However, you cannot use the same code to unlock a newly purchased or different upgrade (for example, an upgrade from Quicken 2008 to Quicken 2009).
To reinstall Quicken or install it on a new computer using your original CD, you must unlock Quicken again to gain access to the additional features of the upgrade.
Using the Unlock Again option in Quicken
You might be prompted for your Quicken CD during this process.
- Select the Help menu and select Unlock Again.
- Select Go Online and click Continue or Next.
- Enter your member ID or password.
- In the My Unlocks section of the My Account page, locate your order.
- Click View Details to see your unlock code.
- Select the Quicken Help menu and select Unlock Again.
- Select Enter Code and enter the unlock code.
- Click Continue or Next and follow the on-screen prompts.
