The investment seeks current income and preservation of capital. The fund is a "fund-of-funds," which seeks to achieve its investment goal by primarily investing in a diversified portfolio of affiliated underlying equity and fixed-income funds (although a portion of its assets may be invested in cash, cash equivalents, or in money market funds). These affiliated underlying funds, in turn, invest in a variety of U.S. and foreign equity and fixed-income securities. It expects to allocate 20-40% of its assets in equity funds, and 60-80% of its assets in fixed-income funds. The fund may invest between 0-45% of its assets in any individual underlying fund.
