The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation and growth of income. The fund is a "fund of funds" that invests principally in affiliated mutual funds managed by Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC (the "underlying funds"). Under normal market conditions, through the underlying funds, the fund indirectly invests principally in U.S. equity securities and selects fixed income securities and foreign (including emerging market) securities. It uses a "blend" strategy to gain investment exposure to both growth and value stocks, or to stocks with characteristics of both.
