The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. To pursue its objective, the fund invests principally in a diversified portfolio of equity securities of large foreign companies that the portfolio managers believe are undervalued. Under normal market conditions, it will invest at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities of large companies. For purposes of the fund's investment policies, a large company is defined as a company included among the largest 80% of companies in terms of market capitalization in the MSCI EAFE® Index.
