The fund normally invests in a broadly diversified portfolio of common stocks of non-U.S. companies, while also selling index call options. It also buys index put options, which can protect the fund from a significant market decline that may occur over a short period of time. The fund may transact in options listed on established exchanges or may enter into privately negotiated over-the-counter ("OTC") index option contracts with counterparties.
